Chapter CQ, Philadelphia

Welcome Chapter CQ, Philadelphia!  Pennsylvania’s newest Chapter was organized Sept. 28, 2019 in downtown Philadelphia on the Temple University Campus.  Honored guests and participants included 2 board members of P.E.O. International, a past International President, a trustee of the International ELF Project, the entire PA State Board, NJ State Organizer, numerous PA PSP’s and lots of P.E.O.’s from Chapters across the state.  Sponsoring Chapter AI, Swarthmore also participated and provided a marvelous reception.  Chapter CQ consists of 22 members which includes 5 new initiates.  Welcome to PA P.E.O. Chapter CQ!

Chapter BM, Palmyra

Mother, Daughter and Granddaughter are now Sisters also!

Louanne Steinbrenner, center, shared her pride with Chapter BM when her grand daughter Jessica was initiated into Chapter Y, New Jersey last year. This now completes three consecutive generations of P.E.O. sisters. The three generations span over 6 decades in age and 4 decades of P.E.O. sisterhood. Louanne Steinbrenner, (center) chapter BM/PA, was initiated in 1974; her daughter Joi Lan (Steinbrenner) Canavan, (left) chapter BL/VA, was initiated in 1989; Joi’s daughter Jessica Lan Canavan, (right) chapter Y/NJ, was initiated in 2018. All three wear their emblems with pride – even to family gatherings like the one at which the photo was taken.

Chapter T, Harrisburg

Partner in Peace Student, Martine Tchitchihe

Following the May business meeting of Chapter T, Harrisburg, the sisters were pleased to share lunch and time with their IPS – Partner in Peace student, Martine Tchitchihe, who is in the doctoral program at the University of Pennsylvania.  It was wonderful to hear about her life’s journey thus far, as she shared our enthusiasm for educating women.  Marine expressed her sincere appreciation for the many notes, cards and messages she receives from her P.E.O. supporters and received a prayer shawl, which will be a warm and loving reminder to her of the many prayers and good wishes from our chapter and our sisterhood.
